We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled hands-on professional to join our finance team as the Head of Group Accounting. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of group accounting functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in managing complex financial processes within a group structure.

This position reports to the Group CFO – Stian Nygård. Your workplace will be in Copenhagen, centrally located at Vester Farimagsgade 15, where you will have a lot of colleagues from the Danish entity Moment around you.

You Key Responsibilities will be:

Provide strategic financial leadership to the group accounting role. Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Oversee the consolidation of financial statements for the entire group, ensuring accuracy and adherence to reporting deadlines. Coordinate with subsidiary accounting teams to collect, analyze, and validate financial data for consolidation purposes.

Prepare and present timely and accurate financial reports to senior management, board, and shareholders. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS, DK GAAP) and other relevant regulatory requirements.

Liaise with external auditors and coordinate the annual audit process. Monitor changes in accounting regulations and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant accounting standards.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of group accounting functions. Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements in financial reporting.

Other areas of responsibility:

- Group cash management and liquidity.

- Statutory accounting of Danish holding entities.

- M&A Accounting.

- ESG / CSRD reporting

Qualifications

Your background is a Cand. Merc. Aud. or a bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA or relevant professional certification preferred. You have 3-5 years proven experience in a senior accounting role, with focus on group accounting and financial consolidation. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, DK GAAP) and regulatory requirements. Good interpersonal skills with effective communication skills and the drive and determination to work independently. Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities. Advanced Excel capabilities and knowledge of Konsolidator and Microsoft business central is an advantage. Fluent in English.
