What’s in it for you?

On behalf of our client Novo Nordisk, Moment is looking for two System Engineers to form part of our High Performance Computing (HPC) & Cloud Engineering team. This unit is responsible for developing, implementing, operating, maintaining, and supporting the data-, middleware - and IT infrastructure used across Novo Nordisk on-premises and in the cloud. The position is for 6 months initially with a great possibility of being hired permanently afterwards.

You will work within a scrum team dealing with data scientists and IT vendors, which will require a good level of collaborative skills and cooperation. As a System Engineer, you will get to work closely with scientists and architects to understand the business needs, where you will drive and coordinate projects.

Furthermore, you will also work on both smaller and larger projects such as hardware replacement, system migrations, and building new analytics platforms. This work will involve designing solutions, to match the scientific research needs of the primary stakeholders.

Do you have what it takes?

We are looking for candidates who are ready for a purposeful new career, and with a passion for advanced scientific computing and analytics. In addition to this, we believe our new colleagues will be able to tick off most of the following:

+5 years of experience and proficiency within IT infrastructure and system engineering.

Experience with the following technologies:

  • Linux / Bash
  • DevOps CI/CD
  • IaC - Configuration/infrastructure as code.

Furthermore, we are working with the following technologies, and it will be an advantage to have experience with most of them to succeed in this role:

  • Containerisation (Docker / OCI)
  • Kubernetes
  • Python
  • AD (Active Directory) / SSO
  • Puppet
  • Cloud environment (AWS & Azure).

High Performance Computing (HPC) & Cloud Engineering is anchored in R&ED IT and supports the strategic digital transformation of our R&ED units at Novo Nordisk A/S, which is needed to realize their strategy.
